Plans Time to Respond! Our Senator, Lisa Murkowski, recently said,"My response
when people have asked if we should give back the money is if
the people of Alaska, absolutely, flat-out said, ‘We do not
want to accept this money for this road, or for this bridge,’
I think your delegation would listen. I’m not hearing that as
I’m talking to people. When I was in Ketchikan I heard people
saying, ‘Help us keep the bridge.’ We’re concerned what we’re
hearing in the national media. In Anchorage, people were not
saying take the money for the bridge. In Juneau, I wasn’t hearing
anybody say, ‘Take the money for the road,’" Murkowski
said in a Thursday interview." She obviously isn't listening that well, especially when the issue is still 50/50 in Juneau. Lisa also requested people to comment to her if they felt the transportation money should be better spent. So here you go folks - an open invitation to act.
